MAGIC

The first desalination system using reverse osmosis technology, built and designed by MAGIC, was installed on a ship in the year 1977.
In February 1982 the MAGIC Water Treatment Department was created. The main purpose of this department was the design, development and manufacturing of sea water compact reverse osmosis units, to be installed on leisure and merchant ships.

In those days, water desalination, using the reverse osmosis technology, was scarcely known even by specialised Water Treatment Companies. Consequently, leaning on own previous technical experience, MAGIC started designing and manufacturing units to treat brackish water and land based reverse osmosis units, so that the increasing demand for these type of units to produce reliable systems with excellent water quality, at low cost, could be fulfilled.

Relying on our vast experience treating groundwater aquifers, common water source in the region where the Company is based, MAGIC, has developed units able to virtually treat any type of water regardless of its salinity. Our vast reverse osmosis units product range, is, at present, extensively used from Hotel Resorts down to irrigation applications in the whole of Spain. Our reverse osmosis reference list is unique and we can claim to have installed , at present, over 3.000 units.

Our present reverse osmosis units product range is very extensive with different types of units specifically designed to treat ground and surface waters of different salinities and also sea water (please see Reverse Osmosis Product Range).

The Water Treatment Magic Deparments has developed products, using our own laboratory facilities, Engineering , Technical and Manufacturing staff, some of them with over twenty five years of reverse osmosis professional experience, so that the equipment and design of the units remain as unique in the high technology required for the manufacturing of reliable, low costing and competitive systems.

One reference of the quality and reliability of MAGIC reverse osmosis units is the 200.000 liters/day reverse osmosis unit supplied to Surisla S.A. in the year 1983. This 23 year old unit is still operating, at full satisfaction, 24 hours a day.

MAGIC has, at present, a comprehensive worlwide Distribution network and are for ever looking to expand it in other markets which have the need for water treatment units at competitive price.
